Ryan hates reading. Like, really hates it.
So of course the one time he actually opens a book… it hypnotizes him.
Now his body is stuck flipping pages in the real world, while his mind is trapped inside Book World—a place where imagination is everything. Want a dragon? Done. A castle? Easy. A laser-shooting squirrel? Honestly, go for it.
At twelve years old, Ryan finally has something he’s good at. For the first time ever, people can see what’s inside his head. And it’s awesome.
Until it’s not.
When the new Book World movie comes out, kids start turning into literal couch potatoes, including Ryan’s new friends. Suddenly, this magical world isn’t just fun and games… it might be dangerous.
To save his friends (and maybe the entire world), Ryan has to go on a wild adventure, track down the mysterious author, get the reader’s help… and hope it’s enough.
